Live n' Wild Pt. 1: The '60s

Mal Thursday presents "Live N' Wild Pt. 1: The '60s." Live recordings of rock n' roll bands from the mid-’60s are often a mixed bag of out-of-tune guitars, screaming girls, and questionable mic placement. This revised and expanded episode of The Mal Thursday Show seeks to correct this with a series of transcendent live recordings spanning the years 1963 to 1968. Presented in Ultrasonic Stereophonic and Living Monophonic Sound. Originally broadcast, in different form, in the Fall of 2014.

The Hunt Sales Story

Mal is joined by living legend, drummer extraordinaire, and Son of Soupy Hunt Sales for a career retrospective-type interview in honor of The Hunt Sales Memorial’s album “Get Your Shit Together” (Big Legal Mess/Fat Possum Records). Co-starring Tony Sales, Iggy Pop, James Williamson, David Bowie, Todd Rundgren, Bob Welch, Glenn Cornick, Tjarko Jeen, and a cast of thousands. A couple of numbers from Hunt's album had to be omitted because Mixcloud only allows two tracks from the same album, so "Hey Caffeina," The Mal Thursday Quintet's 2021 track with Hunt on drums, has been added as a bonus track. "Presented in Living Monophonic and Ultrasonic Stereophonic Sound. Originally Broadcast, in different form, on 17 January 2019.
